The Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS) provides independent adjudication on complaints about ISCAS subscribers. ISCAS is a voluntary subscriber scheme for the vast majority of independent healthcare providers.
Before you bring your complaint to ISCAS, you first need to complain to the organisation where you received treatment and give them a chance to put things right. To assist you with this process, ISCAS has produced a Guide for Patients that explains the ISCAS Complaints Code of Practice and the stages for making a complaint. If you need additional advice on your complaint about an ISCAS subscriber please contact us.
ISCAS can only deal with complaints about ISCAS subscribers. ISCAS is not a regulatory body and it cannot deal with complaints about all private hospitals/clinics. Our website does however give advice about other organisations that can assist you if you complaint is not about an ISCAS subscriber.
